I am a student studying zooarchaeology, the archaeology of animal bones. I have three years of research experience identifying animals to species, or higher taxonomic levels (depending on the condition of the bones). As a result of this, I have also become somewhat familiar with the appearances of these animals in life. My favourite bones to ID are fish, so if you have any old observations of fish bones that you think could be better ID'd, feel free to tag me in them and I'll take a look. Reach out to me if you are interested in learning more about the identification of animals based on their osteology, or about zooarchaeology as a field!
