My first memory of falling in fascination with nature was seeing a cuttlefish when I was 6. I went to marine biology camps as a kid and in undergrad, I got my BS in biology and marine biology. After spending 5 years under fluorescent lights getting my PhD in molecular biology, I needed to return to the field. I studied how pollutants act as endocrine disrupting compounds in the American Alligator for my post doctoral study, and have since worked with sea cucumbers, frogs, birds, bats, insects, and mammals in the tropics. I lived in Trinidad for 3 years and have recently moved to the Atlantic Forest of Brazil.
