We are a charity working to conserve and protect the last intact wilderness region in south-central Ontario; the final refuge for many species at risk and declining wildlife species; a place with unparalleled natural beauty and splendor; an ecotone where the wolf meets the coyote, the raven meets the crow, the jack-pine meets white oak. The region has the highest habitat diversity in the province, has more aquatic pocketed habitats (lakes, wetlands, rivers etc.) than anywhere in Ontario, and is at the northern limits for many ectotherms. These characteristics and biodiversity, make this landscape a land of hope; a place that can support our future collective well-being, as it can buffer against, and sustain and supply irreplaceable and essential services during Climate Change.
