Educated to be a teacher, I ended up needing to support a horse, so I became a professional photographer. I used my teaching skills to take 14 tiny little girls through 11 years of Girl Scouting, all earning their Gold Awards upon High School graduation.
I have now 'retired' from wedding and family photography to doing more of the photography I enjoy, running a small horse boarding "TLC Ranch", edible gardening, breeding cockatiels, exotic pheasants, domestic chickens.... well, that explains some of the 'Noah' part.
2020 has been a challenge, but horseback riding in the Santa Monica Mountains has been a wonderful escape. Discovering iNat has started a new fascination with the flora and fauna in my area, which will expand as I'm able to trailer to other locations.
"The naturalist suffers a pleasant nuisance – not being able to walk 100 yards without being tied to the spot by some new and wondrous creature."
~- Charles Darwin
I agree with Darwin, except I prefer four hooves doing the walking!
