There's always events happening at Texas Discovery Gardens! Any help documenting our native fauna to our local iNaturalist project is much appreciated.

Hey,
What is the last day to ID observations, I've heard May 5th or May 7th?

Also, Elm Fork Chapter-TMN includes Denton, Wise and COOKE Counties. Any chance of including Cooke either this year (kinda late) or next year?
Thanks.
Take Care,
Mary

Forgot - DFW #1!!!

Hey Mary @hawkilitle , so we've had the "DFW area" for each of the years of the city nature challenge, so we don't edit/modify the counties (despite the ones that we serve as master naturalists)... But! During the September fall bioblitz, we do include a few more counties based on the master naturalist chapters:
https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/fall-socially-distant-bioblitz-dfw-urban-ecosystem-2022

So May 7th is the last day that they count up the observations, so the sooner that you get yours uploaded and ID'ed, the better! :)

Hey all -- just got word -- we'll cancel the Friday night mothing event in Midlothian. Threats of hail make mothing no fun. So, stay safe -- and maybe keep an eye out for some moths outside of your places!

As far as I know, Frisco is still on!

@sambiology Hey Sam, I'm going to try to get my homeschooling co-op together on May 1st to participate in the nature challenge. Do you have any areas you could recommend near Eagle Mountain Lake/Nature Center Area?
