The bearded iris is generally part of the eukaryote species, more specifically under the vascular plant species. Using one zoom, the bearded iris was determined to be a monocotyledon that is part of the iris species.
One general adaptation that all the observations in this project have is that they are photosynthetic. Otherwise, the observations in this project are only limited by being land plants. As there are two observations of mosses in this project, a common adaptation cannot be the presence of a vascular system.
One unique adaptation of the wood fern is that it is seedless and reproduces using unicellular spores.
