Updates and a bit more info

Hi Everyone.

Great to see so many people joining the project. You might have noticed I have changed the settings of the project to now include all public observations within the state forests. Loads of observations there but still plenty of gaps!

For those who are new to QCC / state forest campaigns you can read a bit more about the campaign and background here. https://www.queenslandconservation.org.au/seq_native_forest

If anyone out there has any experience with embedding observations into websites let me know. I am keen to add observations from this project onto the above website.

Introduce Yourself

Hi Everyone.

Just thought it might be nice if people can comment here introducing themselves. Is there a particular state forest you visit the most and/or would like to see protected? What's the most interesting species you have found in a state forest?

I am the nature organiser with the Qld Conservation Council with a background in ecology. I love spending time in nature and looking forward to seeing an expansion of Qld's National Parks, particularly protection for native forest in State Forests. I visit Benarkin State Forest fairly frequently because by parents live in the area. On one recent trip I found this giant Qld Bottle Tree. https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/109984297
