As a result, the polytypic group Booted Racket-tail (White-booted) Ocreatus underwoodii [underwoodii Group], with subspecies polystictus, discifer, underwoodii, incommodus, and melanantherus, are recognized as White-booted Racket-tail Ocreatus underwoodii; the monotypic groups Booted Racket-tail (Peruvian) Ocreatus underwoodii peruanus is recognized as Peruvian Racket-tail Ocreatus peruanus; and the monotypic groups and Booted Racket-tail (Anna's) Ocreatus underwoodii annae and Booted Racket-tail (Adda's) Ocreatus underwoodii addae are united as Rufous-booted Racket-tail Ocreatus addae, with monotypic groups Rufous-booted Racket-tail (Anna's) Ocreatus addae annae and Rufous-booted Racket-tail (Adda's) Ocreatus addae addae.
