Dive observation. This one was shallower and there was less greyish slit on everything at that depth (app 95 fsw).

• wiry appearance with a lot of bulbs
• olive-brown in colour
• found adrift in low tide on a rock

• a single blade of a larger organism was found adrift from its location
• brown in colour
• had the distinctive ruffles associated with Saccharina

Captured in a larval light trap during a plankton bioblitz for the @hakaiinstitute. Fish caught in the light trap were released.
