I am a graduate student at the University of British Columbia in the Forestry department. While I do love a good tree, I am actually studying the effects of low level heavy metal pollution on juvenile salmon behaviour. I have a background in marine and freshwater ecology and have spent several years doing research on various marine invertebrates at the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. I am a giant nature nerd in general but my truest love is crustaceans!
