Lots of these in this area of Chingford Park. Based on guide book “New Zealand Ferns and Allied Plants” I guess Dryopteris, Polystichum, or Lastreopsis.
Does not appear to have “kidney shaped indusia”, but I’m not certain I understand what I’m looking at.
Present in roadside gravel at several Peninsula locations
I can see 2 different leaves, 1 smooth and shiny with some veining, others duller with some fine hairs
Euchiton growing on thin dry soil
Not sure which species this is
Little weedy guys in the rock garden section. Maybe planted at one point, but have spread all over the path and plantings by now.
Epilobium nerteroides, growing on gravel driveway. Either this species or Epilobium brunnescens. Epilobium nummularifolium is present in the photo as well
Climbing through broadleaved forest on bank
Semiparasitism. Destroy the vascular water system but makes its own foods.
Coprosma rubra, several plants growing on margin of forest remnant
An environmental weed. Treated by digging out the rhizome.
