Full-time Ph.D. student at Texas A&M studying the adaptation, diversification, and speciation of mammals. I specialize in carnivores. 🐾

My research uses felids and felid hybrids to characterize regions of the genome that cause reproductive incompatibilities between species. I also assist in research related to behavior, ecology, and conservation. You can learn more about my research on my lab's website.

If you ever find a mammal (carnivore or not) that you think might be a hybrid, please ping me!

Ask me what a species is. ;)

Just because I research mammals doesn't mean that my identification skills are perfect. I always appreciate learning new things, so I am happily open to ID corrections, tips, and info!

My research articles can be accessed on Google Scholar.
My eBird is promethiem.
I'm also very passionate about science communication and post quite a bit on X at emi_stasis.
