Originally from Taiwan, I am currently a PhD student studying evolutionary biology at the University of Chicago. My research interest is the evolution of pollination relationships, floral traits, and the geography of plants. My past research and doctoral dissertation focus on the evolution in the bird pollinated SE Asian genus Aeschynanthus (Gesneriaceae). In my spare time, I am an enthusiastic naturalist and love to record my observations.

I would love to help with the identification of any Aeschynanthus observations. However, as I only have limited field experience in China and Vietnam, I largely rely on online specimens and published flora and revisions. As of result of the insufficiency of systematic revisions in many geographic regions, I am most confident with the species in China and Indochina (towards the Malay peninsula.)
