I am a Senior Fisheries Biologist with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in Peterborough, Ontario. My expertise is primarily in the identification, distribution and ecology of Ontario fishes, with special interest in non-sportfishes, predominantly minnows, darters, suckers, etc. as well as aquatic species at risk. I have been teaching fish identification courses to fisheries professionals across Ontario for more than 20 years. Went to school at Fleming College (F&W Tech), Trent U (B.Sc.) and U of Toronto (M.Sc). In addition to my love of fishes, I am also an avid birder and recently become interested in moths and butterflies. Always happy to assist with identifications, feel free to tag/email me as needed.
