The 2017 BioBlitz starts one month from RIGHT NOW. We are so excited here at Macaulay Honors College to meet our students and scientists at Alley Pond Park!

Attn: NYC iNaturalist users - We would love some help with identifications! Our students use the BioBlitz data during the fall semester, so any help you can give with IDs is greatly appreciated!

In 10 days, Macaulay Honors College Class of 2020 will spend 24 hours teamed up with local experts to find as many species as possible in Alley Pond Park! We can't wait to see what we discover! We'll have teams focused on ants, bats, bees, beetles, birds, fish, flies, herps, lepidopterans, lichens, moss, microbes, odonates, plants, pond inverts, and spiders, but we'll be looking for every living thing we can identify! We're also going to have a water quality team checking out Oakland Lake and Alley Creek! Watch our results roll in starting 3pm on September 9th!
