That is how we do it, but you could keep the original species concept active (and the outputs inactive) until you do the split. Commiting the change will sort this out
Yeah I was expecting a quick response but it seems to have been overlooked I'll go ahead and commit.

@susanhewitt How does this look? I atlased the output taxa so all records will update automatically (except for the unverifiable Hawaii record which will go up to genus).
